This piece is an advanced beginner to intermediate piece. While it can be stitched on Aida, a smoother/more polished look will be achieved if stitched over two on a Lugana, Monoco, Jobelen, or similar. It was stitched on DMC Charles Craft 28-count Monaco using one strand of DMC 310 for the black and one strand of DMC 680 for the gold by Anne Krewe. You can also use different colors for the various sections or motifs. If you choose to do this, you will need one skein of each color you decide to use.
