It can be stitched without the quarter stitches, but they give the piece a smoother flow. Stitched in blue, red, and gold, it can be stitched in any combination of colors and look equally good. This piece is an intermediate piece. Careful counting is required to have the knots cross properly. The model was stitched on 28-count white Monoco.
